On 26th February VWBro Pierre Caeiro, Grand Inspector of the Group of Lodges in Portugal and WBro Steve Johnson visited Casa de Nossa Senhora da Conceição in Portimão to deliver a large quantity of board games for the girls’ use. Anabela Nunes, a representative of the Charity said “The Board of the CNSC, representing all those who are part of this house, would like to express our satisfaction with your gesture of affection, friendship and dedication to our cause. Your contribution is essential to help maintain the well-being of the children and young people we take in. It’s gestures like these that make us continue to do our best for the children.”
Last November, the Lodge of Discoveries presented a cheque for € 500 to the charity.
Founded in 1928 Casa de Nossa Senhora da Conceição (CNSC) has for over 90 years provided a safe place for young girls. CNSC is located in Portimão, where they have a house for some 30 young girls. They are preparing a major refurbishment project of their facilities to improve the comfort of the girls.
